President Trump has never served in political office prior to assuming the office on January 20, 2016.

And Vice President Pence served Indiana, first as a Member of the House of Representatives from January 3, 2001 to January 3, 2013, and then as Governor of Indiana from January 14, 2013 until January 9, 2017, when he assumed office as the Vice President.
